Amelia Morani’s intellectual property practice focuses on patent preparation and prosecution in the biomedical, bioinstrumentation, electrical, semiconductor and business methods industries.  Dr. Morani has experience working with scientists, engineers, managers and counsel to identify and achieve patent acquisition goals.  She has counseled clients on patent acquisition, both domestic and foreign.  Amelia has conducted validity, clearance, claim construction, and patentability research and documented opinions on the same. Dr. Morani has extensive patent drafting and patent prosecution experience including appeals to, and oral hearings, before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences.

Prior to forming Morani Patent Law, P.C., Dr. Morani was an associate focused on intellectual property at Finnegan, Henderson,  Farabow, Garret & Dunner, LLP in Washington, D.C.  She also focused on patent prosecution as an intellectual property associate at Sughrue Mion, PLLC, also located in Washington, D.C.
